The weather is GORGEOUS!
I am antsy to be away from this desk job and just play hooky at home. The window in my office is opened and the breeze carries the sent of daffodils from the small bouquet on my desk.
But I can dream of what I want to do be doing and will be soon. I found this awesome site called SmartGardener.com.
It was buried in my gardening pins on Pinterest. It’s a website that plans your garden FOR YOU! You tell it where you live, it tells you what to plant and when, designs your garden for you, and gives you daily reminders of what to do. And it’s all FREE!
My biggest problem in the past has been over planting.
With the planning tool, I can visualize the whole set up and know exactly what I want to plant and where. If you are a novice and uncertain of what the best garden layout would be, they will take your choices and put together an arrangement for you.
This year I’ll do my usually peppers (my pepper jelly supply is running low), tomatoes, okra, and squash (all great for pickling). Lima beans, cucumbers, herbs, and even some pumpkins again this year. We are definitely going to build some sun shades and a PVC pipe irrigation system for when we leave on vacation. Hopefully the garden won’t burn up as badly as it did last year.
I’m excited to get started.
Thanks for the link.
I can't wait to start my garden. Have to get the house sold and this one painted before I'm allowing myself to plan and plant. I'd better hurry!
I started my cool weather veggies last week. Yay! So excited for spring.
