“Cursed is the ground because of you; In toil you will eat of it. All the days of your life.”
Genesis 3:17 NASB
This Sunday I redeemed myself. In the garden that is. I did some much needed toiling of the earth. I cleaned out the burned up tomato vines and tied up the ones left still trying to do their job.
A few weeks ago we had lobbed off the 10ft tall okra plants and surprisingly they are still producing and much easier to pick. I don’t know why I am so nervous about trimming and pruning. I guess I’m afraid I’ll do it wrong and nothing will come back. But I think I’m over that and shall do much better next year.
And the peppers. Now the real meat of this post. Let’s just say I’m research pepper relishes and pickled pepper recipes.
Ooooooh pepper jelly. I have cayenne, banana, and orange bell (although I picked them green) but I bet they would make make a nice jelly/relish consistency that would be great with chips or in your eggs.
