my mom gave me this sweater. it as lovely shade of green but had developed two hole. and right in the boob area too. heehee. it was a bit big on me but after accidentally washing and drying the cashmere sweater it fits great! i love three quarter sleeves anyway. 🙂
a while back i had won a giveaway from meg at brassy apple (formerly creative outlet designs). i won a package of her fabric scarps that she uses to make her awesome shaggy jeans. and it was just what i needed to upcycle the sweater.
she has a contribution in the current issue of make it mine showing a knit top she embellished. i love the bird themes and thought i would put one into the redesign of the sweater.
i added some vintage buttons i picked up from jennifer’s antiques here in conway. i really love the way it looks and have been wearing it non stop.
