No bake. Drop. Sputnik. Preacher. Cow patties.
That last name I have a sever aversion to. Growing up we called these no bake drop cookies. For obvious reasons. Someone once told me they called them Sputnik cookies because you could make them so fast. And one web article refers to them as Preacher cookies (fun read if you are so inclined). Whatever you call these cookies it all boils down, literally, to chocolate peanut butter goodness.
Ben is the official drop cookie maker in our house. In fact he has held this title since before we were married and I was sharing an apartment with Jerusalem. He came home from a summer spent in Japan and proceeded to spend the first month of that school year making no bake cookies in our kitchen. Almost every night!!!
In the end we had to virtually ban him from making them or he at least had to take them with him when he left for the evening. (By this time in our college careers we had already exceeded our freshman 15 allotment) But these days no bake drop cookies are pretty much welcomed anytime They pretty much live up to all of their aliases. Unfortunately even the cow patty name.
