Earlier this month I signed up to be a part of the Arkansas Women Bloggers Homemade Ornament Swap.
I was assigned to send my crafty creation to Julie at Eggs and Herbs. With the way my good intentions are running these days she’s very lucky I was in the throws of preparing for a craft fair.

Monday was to be the big reveal day. But by Sunday my ornament had not made its debut. I figured here was all that karma coming back on me back in my early days when I had not held up my end of a swap.
My frowny face email was sent. “I don’t have an ornament :(“
But our swap organizer Julie and my swap partner Peggy (hope you are feeling better) from Pork Chop Tuesday shared the interesting story.
Apparently this little cotton blossom angel wanted to go on a Christmas vacation before she made her home on my tree.
While Florida is a bit of a detour when you’re going from Lonoke to Conway, she is quite fashionably late and I LOVE her. She’s beautiful and absolutely perfect for my tree.
I was so sad when I got Julie's email saying your ornament had not arrived. I am so glad she made it–and intact! Merry Christmas!
I wouldn't mind a side trip to Florida )
